Turn a policy into a short explainer video
The job: a policy or procedure that people need to understand, explained in a few minutes, in plain language, by a presenter on screen.
What it costs: an explainer video of up to 4 minutes is $199 including GST. A set of five is $895.
The problem this solves
Policies are usually written to be complete, not to be read. People sign that they have read them and often remember very little. Then the policy only comes out when something has already gone wrong.
A short explainer video tells people the part they need: what the policy is for, what they must do, and where to get help. The written policy stays the authority. The video gets people to the point where they can follow it.
Policies that work well as a video
- Complaints and feedback: how to raise a concern and what happens next.
- Code of conduct: what is expected, with everyday examples.
- Privacy: what information you collect and what people can ask for.
- Incident reporting: what to report, how, and how quickly.
- Working from home, leave, expenses and other everyday procedures.
- Service rules for clients, such as cancellations and fees.
The same policy can be explained twice: once for staff and once for clients or the public. Each audience needs different detail.
What you get
Explainer video: Up to 4 minutes. Explain a service, a process or a policy. Every video includes:
- An AI avatar presenter chosen with you
- Script written for you from your material
- Your logo, colours and fonts throughout
- Captions on every video
- Formats for phone and widescreen
- A round of changes before you sign off
Easy Read versions and other languages are available on request.
Five things that make a policy video work
- One policy for each video. Two policies means two videos.
- Say who it is for in the first ten seconds.
- Lead with what people must do, not with the history of the policy.
- Use one everyday example that people will recognise.
- End with where to find the full policy and who to ask.
Send us the policy and tell us who needs to understand it. You approve the script before the video is finished, so nothing is said that your policy does not say.
Why aXai
aXai is a disability-led AI, software and accessibility company. We build AI systems, software, and concepts and prototypes ready to scale, and we deliver them through AI-supported work: skilled people with disability in real, properly paid roles, working to clear quality standards, with AI removing the barriers and people keeping the accountability.
Every project runs on our own infrastructure, the Decision Bus and Project Layer, so each step is planned, signed off by a person and on the record. That is our operating advantage. Read how it works.
Questions
Does the video replace the written policy?
No. The written policy stays the authority. The video explains it and points people to it.
What happens when the policy changes?
We update just the parts that change, at the same prices.
Our policy is long. Will it fit in 4 minutes?
The video covers what people need to do, not every clause. A long policy can also be split into a short series, one topic for each video.
Is our policy kept private?
Send us material you are happy for staff or the public to see, and never private details about clients or staff. If your material would be processed outside Australia, we tell you before you send anything.
How long does it take?
Tell us your deadline when you get in touch and we will confirm the timing in your quote.
