We’ve been hard at work, building something truly special – aXbot. aXbot is a sassy, knowledgeable, and neurodivergent AI Agent designed to help NDIS participants, providers, families, and their support network, navigate the often-complex world of the NDIS.
aXbot will be built on cutting-edge AI LLM methodology and trained on a vast amount of meticulously cleaned and verified information. We’re focusing on ensuring aXbot is not only knowledgeable but also embodies a unique, authentically neurodivergent perspective and character. Think of aXbot as your go-to resource for instant advocacy support, with a healthy dose of witty and biting commentary when you need it most.
We’re making excellent progress on defining the core aXbot functionality, with a strong emphasis on:
- Data Privacy: We’re committed to protecting sensitive information and handling all data ethically and responsibly.
- Accuracy and Reliability: aXbot’s responses will be grounded in NDIS legislation and validated by a rigorous testing process.
- The aXbot Persona: He’s more than just an AI; he’s your advocate in the digital space.

Exciting News: AI for Empowerment Collaboration!
Beyond aXbot, we’re thrilled to announce a call for Expressions of Interest for our AI for Empowerment program! This initiative, spearheaded by Annette (who brings a powerful combination of Peer Mental Health qualifications and Software Engineering expertise) and supported by Axel (our resident disability rights gladiator), aims to empower individuals with disability through the acquisition of AI and coding skills.
We believe AI and coding skills offers a unique path to recovery by:
- Building Confidence: Mastering new technical skills fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-efficacy.
- Creating Opportunities: AI technical skills and coding opens doors to employment and entrepreneurial ventures.
- Fostering Community: Learning alongside peers creates a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Developing Problem-Solving Skills: Coding trains the mind to approach challenges systematically and creatively.
- Offering purpose and achieving goals.
- With the benefit of AI tools, this can now be done quickly! Accessibly!
We’re actively seeking people to collaborate with us on the AI for Empowerment program. If you’re passionate about innovative approaches to recovery and see the transformative potential of technology, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for partners who can offer:
- Peer Interest: Individuals who are keen to help develop this program.
- Support Services: Provide wrap-around support to participants, addressing their individual needs.
- Resources and Expertise: Contribute to the program’s curriculum, mentorship, or resources.
- Funding or in-kind support: Enable a pilot, or a study and Apply for grants.
